The Predator is the brain child of Fred Davies & Scott Ateah. Both of whom have been involved in the Film Industry for over 20 years each. Both Scott & Fred have been have been actively involved in the stunt community for as many years. Scott as a stunt performer, precision driver, stunt coordinator, and second unit director. And Fred as a stunt vehicle prep and on set mechanic. Both Fred & Scott understand what it takes to get that hi-action / hi-energy shot.
Scott and Fred asked the same questions one day "why isn't there a hi-performance pursuit car in the Vancouver area, that can put the camera right into the action and get those hi energy shots at a cost that all productions could afford? Why were we still tying camera operator to ATV's to get chase shots in parkades? The only reasonable answer they could come up with was, after asking the other camera car operators and equipment suppliers, "no one wanted to invest the nessesary funds into such a project, when nobody was asking for that type of camera car." So they made the decision to invest the money and build an affordable / Hi-Pro pursuit car. And so "THE PREDATOR" was born
